The WORLD SUMMIT YOUTH AWARD FOR YOUNG CHANGE AGENTS (WSYA) is a unique global contest which brings young developers and digital entrepreneur who are under 30years of age- who use internet and mobile technology to put the UN millennium development goals (MDGs) into action and make a difference.

It is a competition among committed designers, producers, application developers, journalist, writers or someone who uses the internet and mobile applications, create digital content and applications which address the UN Millennium Development goals (MDGs)


The online or mobile project to be entered must be initiated and executed by young people under the age of 30 (born on or after January 1, 1984) from any of the UN member states.

Categories Acceptable 

–          Fight poverty, hunger and disease

–          Education for all

–          Power 2 women

–          Create your culture

–          Go green

–          Pursue truth

Opportunities open for winners 

– The award honors 3 winner and 3 runner up per categories

– Winner have the unique opportunity to be part of an international high-energy networking event

–    Winner have the opportunity of presenting their work/project on a world stage, exchange ideas with their peers and network with renowned experts in the field of ICT for development

–     Winning allow young social entrepreneur to become part of an international network of young dynamic people, leaders of the ICT industry, academics, governmental organization and member of civil society.
